Sire & Dams for 2014 Lambs

Our Lambing Stats are in. Out of the 14 ewes bred, we retained 10 (4 were sold as bred) 10 ewes produced 23 healthy strapping lambs (10#s at birth). We had three sets of twins, 5 sets of triplets & 2 singles. 7 ewe lambs and 16 ram lambs. Eli and the girls did a great job for our last breeding season. Eli and Dakota (both USA imports) have been sold to our good friends at Hay Wire Farms in Leduc Alberta.

2014 Lambs Will be the Last for Awhile!

Jack and I are taking a year off from farming and going to our 9-5 jobs.  We will be spending the winter in the south (USA) and be back in May 2015. Our son will be moving onto the farm, but is not a shepherd, so all of our flock will be disbursed prior to us leaving in September 2014. Our best genetics will be maintained and managed by friends and new Katahdin producers.
